The International Solar Energy Society (ISES) was founded in 1954 and today is present in more than 50 countries. The Society supports its members in the advancement of renewable energy technology, implementation and education all over the world. With the objective of mutual cooperation and discussing common problems and solutions, Latin American national sections of ISES (including the Brazilian section, founded in 2004) have been promoting regional conferences, as in Mexico in 2004 and Argentina in 2006. In the last conference it was decided that the III ISES Latin-American Regional Conference would take place at Florianópolis, Brazil. Shortly after, the participants of the I CBENS decided for unifying the upcoming II CBENS with the III ISES Latin-American Regional Conference. Therefore I invite everyone interested in the development of renewable energy sources to attend our Congress.
